About Our Client

The Franklin Development Corporation restores beauty and purpose in historic Franklin, Indiana just south of Indianapolis.

The not-for-profit organization supports and encourages investment in core areas of the historic downtown and main corridors of our Central Indiana city. They incentivize the rehabilitation of existing, often historically relevant, structures to a higher standard.

Their programs are designed to attract start-up businesses;  support existing businesses; and revitalize residences.

What They Needed

FDC needed a new website to better tell its story. Their previous site was not responsive and operated on an antiquated content management system. This made it difficult to read on a mobile - and updates were challenging to upload. They also needed an improved design and a user experience that more easily navigated visitors who had different reasons for viewing the site. The organization also saw the website as essential to attracting companies and individuals who share a love for restoring old buildings and homes.

How We Helped

Clever Dogs Media created and launched a new website, powered by Zephyr CMS. We engaged board members to determine a user experience based on how they interact with clients, and to leverage before and after photographs that show their mission.

They selected a Zephyr theme that features strong images and a clean font design. The site also has a robust responsive design - enabling smartphone users to view the information they need to get involved.
