Clever Dogs Media Moves to Franklin

Clever Dogs Media, Inc., an Indiana digital marketing agency, has opened a new office at 48 West Madison Street in Historic Downtown Franklin, Indiana.

The firm, owned by Jeff Owen and Sean Miller, creates websites and custom digital content and provides digital strategies for private businesses, public entities and nonprofit organizations. They have clients throughout Central Indiana and in four other states.

“Much of our recent work has been focused in Franklin. We have a strong connection to the community. So, we decided to invest in the entrepreneurial spirit that’s happening in the city and downtown,” said Owen, who lives in rural Franklin.

Owen and Miller launched Clever Dogs Media in 2017 in Greenwood. During the pandemic, they took the company virtual. “We talked often about getting back to in-person work as much as possible. We looked in Franklin when we started the company but could not find a good space. We love this new location,” Owen said about the office that is located next to Main & Madison Market Café in the downtown.

Clever Dogs Media’s area clients include Johnson Memorial Health, Franklin Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Johnson County, Johnson County Community Foundation, Indian Creek Schools and WindRose Health Network.

Other local clients include Discover Downtown Franklin, Franklin Development Corporation, Franklin Education Connection, Hillview Country Club, Johnson County Recycling District, Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County, Garment Factory Events, Aspire Johnson County, Shafstall & Admire, Deppe, Fredbeck & Yount and Bemis Group.

“The growth in the Franklin has been especially remarkable. We have been extremely proud to help local companies and nonprofits tell their story,” Owen said.

Clever Dogs Media's website for the Franklin Chamber of Commerce won the 2022 innovative Excellence Award from the Indiana Chamber Executives Association.

Owen also is a partner in Arete Purpose Consulting, a strategic planning and leadership coaching firm. He said that practice eventually will be sharing space with Clever Dogs Media.
